Urdu handwriting. |
In olden days, I mean the days of our grandparents, takhti was used for writing. People at those times were taught Urdu calligraphy with qalam and siyahi. They had their qalam's cut at the tips so as to to give an inclination to their hand writing. Today with the modern ink pen's, pointer's and ball pen's, the condition of Urdu hand writing is deteriorating. People barely worry whether their mim's end is long enough or not, whether their choti ye makes a complete semi circle or not. These tiny things matter if you want your hand writing to be neat and beautiful.
